(25/03/12) A reminder to all players. When playing or acting as a referee, you should kindly refrain from using your mobile phone. This includes texting as it is both distracting for both players and, if refereeing, you are not giving the match your attention. It is also showing a lack of etiquette to both players and is not how snooker should be conducted. Please ensure that you consider your actions at the table when a match is in play. If you need to use your phone, for an emergency, a change of referee can be called before a play is about to take his shot. Players should ideally switch off their phones or ensure they are set to silent or with a team mate who is not in the vacinity of the table.
