Inter-League 2010-11 Season

This year, our league has entered two teams in the competition. This competition is administered by the Harrow and District Snooker and Billiards League. There is also the Champion of Champions competition which we have also submitted a player for.

The format of the Inter-League is a 6 player team, each playing two frames. If a match is tied 6 each, a play-off frame is played to deicide the winner. The final is decided over two legs. The Champion of Champions is a best of 7 frame match.

(13/03/11) The South Beds B team lost their Semi Final match against Reading A, 4-8. Congratulations to the South Beds B team for reaching the semi finals, and good luck to the Reading team in the final. The South Beds team were : Barry Garwood (Captain), Gerrard Nolan, Mark Price, Craig Ferris, Liam Doherty, Aaron Garwood.

(23/01/11) The South Beds B team, captained by Barry Garwood, played their Quarter-Final match on Sunday 23rd January. The venue was the The Milton Keynes Club, and their opponents were M. K. C. South Beds played very well with a convincing 7 - 5 win. Notably M.K. C had former S.B.S players Tim McGarry and current player Jeff Jones in their team so the opposition was very strong. S.B. B progress to the Semi-Finals which are scheduled to be played by 15th March.

(13/12/10) The South Beds A team, captained by Syed Ali, played their 2nd rount match on Sunday 12th December. The venue was the Lansdowne Club, Luton and their opponents were Watford C. The first two matches were close, and South Beds were 3 - 1 up. After the next two matches, Watford C regained ground to level the score at 4 each. The final two matches were again close with one drawn and the final two frames going to Watford for an overall score 5 - 7 in favour of Watford. Well done to both teams and good luck to Watford in the next round. Thank you to the Lansdowne club for their hospitality and for hosting the event.

South Beds A team were : Syed Ali (Capt.), Habib Ali, Lee Borsellino, Martin Fernandes, Chris Horton, Adam Smith.

(29/11/10) The South Beds B team, captained by Barry Garwood, played their 2nd round match on Sunday 28th November. The venue was the The Ivy League Club, Maidenhead and their opponents were Thames Valley B. This was a very closely contested match with the score tied 6 each. The deciding frame was won by Aaron Garwood who played brilliantly throughout the match. Well done to the entire team, and a big thank you to the Thames Valley B team for their hospitality.
